Eighty seats replaced across three shifts with intensive-use chairs trialled on the floor before a single bulk order was placed.
The challenge
Chairs rated for eight hours were being used for twenty-four. Failures were constant, replacement costs were climbing, and staff comfort complaints had reached HR.
What we did
Three candidate chairs were placed on the floor for two weeks and scored by the people using them. The winning model was 24/7 rated with a heavier-duty mechanism, and we phased the swap shift by shift so no desk sat empty.
The outcome
One chair standard across the operation, a warranty handled through us rather than three separate suppliers, and a replacement cycle measured in years instead of months.
